Appointed a British Academy Global Professor ($1 million major grant over 4.5 years) in the King’s College London Department of War Studies, where I teach several BA and MA modules, supervise a postdoctoral researcher, and advise and examine PhD candidates across the department and in the School of Security Studies. I have been a Visiting Senior Research Fellow with the King’s Centre for the Study of Intelligence since 2019.

Director of Studies and Co-Convener, International Security and Intelligence Program

Founding Director of Studies and Co-Convenor of the internationally recognized International Security and Intelligence (ISI) program. This world-leading program counts over 600 alumni from dozens of leading universities across several countries from North America to Europe, Asia, and Australia. I supervise an academic faculty of seven PhD-level lecturers and am responsible for all aspects of course development and delivery.

Cadet instruction in Military History (including textbook and curriculum contributions), History of the United States; developed and delivered pioneering new interdisciplinary elective The Secret World: Intelligence and Cyber Operations in Historical Perspective, and History Honors capstone course, Spies in their own Words: Exploring the Role of Intelligence in International History through Memoirs. Duties at the Army Cyber Institute History Fellow include domestic and international presentations and research exploring the relevance of historical perspectives on cyber and information operations.
